After 10 years of professional career as show skater and another 10 years of working as a coach at a number of UK ice arenas, including UK National Ice Centre, in 2001 Yuri opened the first branch of the International School of Skating that in 7 years had grown into a five-rink nationwide skating school with more than 30 coaches and 250+ students. Every year the School skaters bring home National Championship titles and medals from international competitions.
Yuri expertise is widely recognised both in UK and abroad. Each year he is invited to participate in skating camps and clinics as a guest coach. His school provides a training base for many international skaters coming from all corners of the world: from Slovakia, Holland and Belgium to Australia and Hong Kong.
Yuri is also busy with developing bespoke training courses and exercises focusing on developing of skating skills for intermediate to elite level skaters that will be availiable exclusively through ELITA Live.
