The Extreme Footwork webinar course, designed and presented by Yuri Bureiko, is designed to give coaches the skills and confidence to work on complex footwork skills with their skating students, building on potential and helping talented young skaters take their skills to the next level in a structured and safe way.
The emphasis on footwork skill has become extremely important in recent years with the introduction of the International Judging System. However, not all skaters possess the physical ability to perform the moves required for Level 3-4 step sequences.
Yuri’s exercises are aimed at developing athletes’ leg and body muscles, posture, coordination and balance, preparing them for work on intricate and complex sequences.The course also analyses typical mistakes and ways to correct them, making sure that the exercises can be adapted for skaters at any level.
The course is taught via the medium of our sophisticated and easy-to-use online learning environment, and incorporates extensive video examples featuring both international-level and beginner skaters. ELITA Live online courses are lively and rewarding, allowing simultaneous online and phone interaction between the course leader and participants.
